Hi everyone,
I got an email earlier today regarding Kickstarter orders for the US!!! Believe me, I wanted to fulfill US orders FIRST but I had no say it was up to Bakeys and it was so hard for me to have to ask you all to wait and I so appreciate your patience beyond words. So, it looks like Bakeys will now begin on fulfilling on US orders, as soon as possible. I know it's been a long time coming but at least we are in que. these orders will be shipped directly to me in bulk and then I will ship them out. All other countries will go through individual distributors within the region. I know we are all more focused on the REASON edible spoons are needed in the first place. We are more invested in a better world for all, ending the use of plastic cutlery forever...we invested in this innovative cutlery not just for the cool factor but for the planet. Your support and vision to back this campaign WILL make a difference forever...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

After lots and lots of difficult trials and tribulations, the production machine is finally working. And it's producing at capacity. We can now confidently produce large quantities to ship by boat but we can also begin expedited shipping processes as well. I will contact everyone who has shown interest in this on the survey within the next day. If you have not already filled out the backerkit survey please do so as it really helps us logistically. I have asked for quotes from India post which has a branch of expedited shipping that is much cheaper than FedEx and is as reliable with tracking information. Will relay this information within the next day.

Shipping, Flavors, Questions, New Orders, Everything

Hi everyone,
I am sorry for the delay in responses and answers to comments. I am the only one working on this campaign right now, and so far my focus has been on figuring out logistics from my side, which involves getting all you 9000+ amazing people access to your spoons in a timely fashion by shipping. It is definitely more challenging than it originally seemed, but that is no excuse. Sadly, I do not have control over production. Thus, when I have been asked about updates about shipping and did not answer them, please understand I am not hiding anything. I am waiting on a full answer to give out to everyone. And because I cannot change the date of delivery, it is still listed as April, which was an estimate that we had when we first started this campaign. For the most part, I do not expect us to deviate from the timeline I provided in a previous update on shipping. We are just keeping up updates on machinery. In terms of air shipping and expedited shipping, we are working on getting an update for that and deadline dates as soon as we know we have started max production. Expedited shipping will largely be individualized, so they may vary greatly from country to country. We would expect the same timeline for delivery around the world, as a vast majority of our orders are in bulk to a specific country.
Bakeys has installed a new automatic production line and Narayana is now making sure it runs flawlessly before running it, doing the job of 25 people. We really all want to make sure you get the best and highest quality edible spoons you could ever get. We understand you may want the edible spoons as soon as possible for a certain occasion, but what if the joy of at last receiving edible spoons became a momentous occasion of its own? I am extremely humbled by your support not knowing who I am or my product. The trust you have put in me is overwhelming. I am able to shift from manually made spoons to mechanized automated system this week and the process of getting things organised has had challenges. Most of these are already overcome.

I apologize if this may not have been the update you all had wanted. The second I get the information that the machinery is running at full capacity and we have everything ready to ship, I will add another update about express shipping, regular shipping, etc. From what I hear from Narayana, that is not too far away, as there are just a few minor issues being worked around and then our capacity will shoot up, and he is a genius and knows how to fix any issues that come along. As soon as we get there, everything will be very simple from then on.
Furthermore, there are many who have reached out to me who have not been able to pledge before and would like to do so now. We are planning on working with BackerKit to offer those who have not had a chance to back us to pledge towards spoons as well as a few other interesting options. We will make this available on our next update, with different shipping times for those products
Some common questions asked are:
What flavors do you offer? Sugar, Cumin, Black Pepper, Ginger-Garlic, Ginger-Cinnamon, Celery, Mint-Ginger, Carrot-Beetroot
Can you offer multiple flavors in one pack? For the most part, on Bakeys' side, I cannot say this is an easy task because everything is bulk packed. I had asked this question several times, and it may not be possible. However, from my side, I may be able to offer trials of different flavors in one pack. If I can do this, it will be on a future update.
